The holidays may be over, but All Access is still reminiscing on “WREX THE HALLS,” featuring Death Cab for Cutie, Third Eye Blind, Billie Eilish, Lord Huron and Barns Courtney at the Valley View Casino Center.
When program director Garrett Michaels said, “we worked to curate a diverse lineup that represents the true musical breadth of 91X,” his statement was exhibited throughout the entire concert from the vendors to the fans, who attended this special event.
Of course, classic radio hits were played from each artist, and the crowd could not resist loudly singing out all the lyrics to Third Eye Blind’s legendary songs, which started with “Semi-Charmed Life.” It was a great way to boost the crowd’s adrenaline for headliner, Death Cab for Cutie.
Not only did Death Cab for Cutie premiere new songs from their latest album, they sprinkled some of their original hits throughout the performance. It has been two decades later that Death Cab for Cutie wants to say “Thank you for Today” such an epic comeback for the band.
