The Voice Green Lights Clizbeats Exclusive With Contestant Will Champlin
NBC’s The Voice began the live portion of this season last week, and we couldn’t be more thrilled. This is because we’ve been happily cheering on our favorite Voice contestant Will Champlin. Thanks to the power of TV, much of America now knows Will as the son of former Chicago vocalist/guitarist/keyboardist, Bill Champlin. However, we’ve known Will as a fantastic singer/songwriter in his own right. We discovered this when a mutual friend introduced us to Will and his music back in 2011. We were immediately impressed by the quality of what he was offering audiences independently, and wanted to do our part to help him get heard. We featured him in our Indie Artist Spotlight Column for the month of November. We followed his work since then, always cheering him on. Click here to check out his Indie Artist Spotlight feature.
Now he’s become the stand on The Voice that was saved by his coach Adam Levine at the end of Thursday night’s show. The episode’s ending was so intense that we wanted to once again do our part to show our support, and remind the world why we believed in him so much in 2011. Thanks to the right blend of things coming together very quickly, NBC permitted us to speak to him about that experience this past weekend. It was a wonderful conversation that covered a little bit of everything about his already accomplished career. We’ll be sharing it with all of you ASAP. In the mean time we’ve provided you a few clips of Will in action. We’re betting that after hearing him you’ll be cheering him on too. Enjoy!
