The Friday Five: New Music Roundup 11/5/21
After a few weeks of traveling, we’re back to our regularly scheduled programming and ready to check out what new music November has to offer. Let’s get to it –

“either way” by Arden Jones
20 year old singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Arden Jones showcases his optimism in latest release “either way.” Self-described as a song “about perseverance and hope” the young artist shines his mature introspective belief that we’re all going to be alright. Having a tough day? Then the uplifting 3-minute track promises to make you believe that no matter what happens that “either way the sun gon’ rise.”
“Ireland in 2009” by Caroline Romano
Young and in love is where pop singer and songwriter Caroline Romano finds herself in her new single, “Ireland in 2009.” Instantly nostalgic, the song packs a punch amid the guitar plucks and driving drum beats as the Nashville-based artist reminisces on a teenage love that’s gone international.
“sims” by corook
Artist and musician, Corinne Savage aka corook gets pixelated in debut single “sims.” Self-described in her Spotify bio as a “huge dork” and listening to the lyrics of the debut single, its clear that corook doesn’t take herself too seriously. But if, her debut is any indication of her talent, it won’t be long until the music industry starts to take her seriously.
“Dress” by Dijon
Singer and songwriter Dijon shares his album, Absolutely which he describes as the “first attempt of many to do something true.” The 12 song project features previously released singles, “Many Times” and “Rodeo Clown” in addition to 10 new records including “The Dress.” “The Dress” is a smooth, laid back love song that finds Dijon looking to recreate the past by going out and dancing and holding hands like they “used to.”
“Slow Down Summer” by Thomas Rhett
Country superstar Thomas Rhett follows up a series of 2021 released singles with an ode to the warmer months with “Slow Down Summer.” Looking back on a summer love finds Rhett beggin’ leaves not to change as their sunburns faded. Aptly released in time for Daylight Savings this weekend where the end of sunshine past 5pm begins and will have us all begging for summer to come back.
