On Friday, March 11th Samsung celebrated the kick off of the Galaxy Life Fest both in Austin at SXSW and in New York at Samsung 837. To celebrate the launch of the new Galaxy S7 and S7 edge devices, Samsung invited guests and Galaxy owners to kick-off the three-day music event at SXSW, while inviting New Yorkers to celebrate at their new cultural destination Samsung 837.

The Strokes kicked off the Samsung’s debut of the Galaxy Life Fest in Austin with an unforgettable performance that kept the crowd on its feet throughout the night. The band plays fan favorites like “Last Nite”, “TIOLI”, and “Reptilia.”

Dan Auerbach’s (the Black Keys) side band The Arcs opened up Samsung’s inaugural Galaxy Life Fest with songs from their album Yours, Dreamily, including hits like “The Arc”, “Velvet Ditch”, and closed out with “Outta My Mind” to leave the crowd thirsting for more.
Santigold rocked a custom Olima dress for the SXSW@837NYC event where performed songs from her latest album 99¢. Santigold pulled out all the stops for her performance – including shopping carts and Samsung selfie sticks. She even brought guests onto the Samsung 837 stage to kickoff SXSW.
This year, Samsung returned to South by Southwest Interactive Festival with its popular Samsung Studio experience offering fans access to exclusive events, unforgettable experiences, and special rewards for Samsung Galaxy owners to celebrate the launch of the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge. In addition, the brand rewarded fans with the first ever Samsung Galaxy Fest. The event features headliners including The Strokes, Sia and ColleGrove – the new superstar duo composed of 2 Chainz & Lil Wayne.
Located at 333 E 2nd Street in Austin, TX, the Samsung Studio will be open daily from 11 AM CT – 6 PM CT from March 11-15.

Living near the notable Sherpards Bush Empire music venue one of her most favorite concerts to date was seeing Bjork. Nicole has also worked for Walt Disney World in Product Development and later went on to work at Disney's Feature Animation Archives in Florida. Nicole has a passion for travel and adventure and has always wanted to live in California so she packed up and moved four years ago to the "left coast" and has been loving it ever since.
