Snoopadelic Cabaret with Snoop Dogg at TAO in Las Vegas!

Snoop Dogg, aka DJ Snoopadelic, kicked off his residency at TAO Nightclub in Las Vegas earlier this Summer on May 3rd. The Snoopadelic Cabaret features a 1920’s speakeasy theme with a DJ set and special performance by Snoop himself.

When discussing the new collaboration, Snoop Dogg said, “I’m excited to partner with the Tao team for these special classy events,” said Snoop Dogg.  “This summer is going to be epic and I can’t wait to give Vegas that real Snoopadelic Cabaret vibe.”

Indeed, Snoop and the entire staff turned Labor Day Weekend, specifically, Saturday, August 30th into an immersive experience at Tao. The cocktail waitresses were wearing short flapper dresses, pearls and all and there were Prohibition-era drinks being served. And Snoop was wearing a very dapper ’20’s style dark blue suit!

In the true Roaring 20’s fashion, Tao and Snoop were  tweeting passwords for Twitter followers to gain entry through a secret entrance into the nightclub. Fortunately, my friends and I already had tickets to the event.

Before getting to his own music, Snoop DJd for about an hour and a half, playing all the current club hits. Once he was done spinning, he performed several of his classic tunes.

Before long we were taken on a musical journey back in time where Snoop made sure we were given all sides of the artist. With tracks like “The Next Episode”, “Drop It Like It’s Hot” and “P.I.M.P”, he catered to the mainstream audience and gave the hardcore fans songs like “Mary Jane” and “Gin And Juice”. With a career spanning back to the 1990′s Snoop Dogg is definitely a veteran in the Hip-Hop community.

Fast forward to tonight, the club was full of positive energy and good vibes as we all began to see the ‘reincarnation’ of Snoop Dogg as he progressed into Snoop Lion.

Whether you refer to him as the Dog or the Lion, Snoop is still the man!!
