West Hollywood’s Troubadour hosted the singer-songwriter Lissie on Wednesday, September 21st.
For roughly 2 hours, the musician belted a combination of songs off her latest album, “My Wild West” (produced by Curt Schneider and debuted at #1 on Billboard’s Heatseekers Chart) and older tracks off her previous 3 collections, “Why You Runnin'”, “Catching A Tiger” and “Back To Forever.”
Armed with just her guitar, a bottle of red wine and a gallon of water in the middle of the stage, Lissie rocked the house and bared her musical soul. Her powerful voice captivated the audience and along with her stellar guitar-playing proved just how talented she is.
After the show, one concert-goer on Facebook remarked:
“You blew the roof off the Troubadour!! Felt like electricity in the air…incredibly powerful performance~ Michael Keaton was in the house, gettin’ down to some LISSIE~ Thank you so much, really excited to play the vinyl! Much Love from an Eastern Iowa native and fellow mid-westerner, thanks for making Hollywood feel like home for a little bit.”
She paused in between most songs to chat with the sold-out crowd too which was welcomed by all. The singer talked briefly about living in LA and what that time in her life was like for her.
