Rihanna: Kinda Leaving Def Jam, But Not Really

Last week Complex.com made the music news cycle for its report that Rihanna would be leaving Def Jam to begin a new chapter of her career with her mentorJay-Z at his Roc Nation entertainment company. Naturally, since Rihanna has been with Def Jam for her entire career this got a lot of attention. Trouble is, that attention wasn’t exactly good. Shortly after Complex broke the story, The Hollywood Reporter did a follow up feature that essentially admonished Complex for only telling half the story. We did some investigating.
