Presented by Playing For Change and The United Nations Population Fund the event will feature more than 200 artists from more than 35 countries joining in on the fight for Planet Earth.
The partnership between the two will bring musicians from across the globe to unite the world in taking action for a sustainable future and advance progress towards the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The hour long live event will also look to raise awareness and provide a call for real action for environmental sustainability.
Through music from Black Pumas, Jack Johnson, Rodrigo y Gabriela, Sara Bareilles, Slash, The Lumineers and 200 others in addition to special documentaries the live stream will provide a look at both the beauty and fragility of the environment.
All net proceeds will go to organizations that prioritize real time solutions that facilitate environmental justice and sustainability, including Conservation International, American Rivers, World Wildlife Fund, REVERB, and the Playing For Change Foundation. Part of the funds raised will advance education programs led by the Playing For Change Foundation with the support of UNFPA to positively impact the lives and choices of adolescents and youth around the globe.
The event will be broadcast TONIGHT, December 15th at 6 p.m. PST / 9 p.m. EST (2 a.m. GMT December 16th) on the Playing For Change YouTube channel.
