On Sunday, October 5th, Paloma Faith shone bright at the Hollywood venue, Roxy.
She was dressed in a skin-tight white lacy dress and killer matching white heels. I think that Faith was bursting with confidence and a style that equally matched her incredible performance.
Her set list mostly included songs off her third album, A Perfect Contradiction. It was released just this past March, and it’s full of the kind of soul and jazz styles she grew up with in East London.
There is no denying that her voice is bold and full-bodied. And it is no wonder there were goosebumps sprouting up and down my arms throughout the show.
One highlight of the evening of course was when she belted out her most successful song to date, “Only Love Can Hurt Like This”, which was written by Diane Warren and reached number one in the Australian charts.
Before she sang it, she shared a very charming story about the time she first met Ms. Diane Warren.
My favorite part of the show had to have been when Paloma did a lovely cover of Van Morrison’s “Crazy Love”.
