On Saturday, November 28th My Morning Jacket wrapped up their forth night headlining at NYC’s Beacon Theatre. Towards the end of their set, Jim James and company paid tribute to Eagles Of Death Metal by covering “I Love You All The Time” off of EODM’s album: Zipper Down. The song was preceded by a moment of silence in honor of the victims of the Paris terrorist attacks.
Fans of Eagles of Death Metal have campaigned for its cover version of Duran Duran’s “Save a Prayer” to top the charts as a show of solidarity and support for the band. Duran Duran also promised that all royalties earned from sales of the song would be donated to a fund for the victims.
In the wake of the Paris terror attacks, Eagles Of Death Metal asked fellow bands to cover “I Love You All the Time” so they could donate all publishing profits to victims. Last night, My Morning Jacket became the first band to make good on this request.
