G. Love and Special Sauce have recently partnered with the direct-to-fan platform PledgeMusic to launch their forthcoming album, “Love Saves The Day”, which will be out via Brushfire Records on October 30th.
Two exclusive singles are available to download through the PledgeMusic campaign. The first single, “New York City” featuring Lucinda Williams is currently available to pledgers and another single featuring Citizen Cope was released on September 18th.
This new album features guest artists Lucinda Williams, Citizen Cope, Ozomatli, David Hildago of Los Lobos, and more. Engineered and produced by Robert Carranza (Jack Johnson, Beastie Boys, Mars Volta). Love Saves The Day celebrates the down and dirty, raucously ragged, and vibrantly unruly spirit of the band that pioneered ‘hip-hop blues.’

G Love & Special features Garret Dutton, better known as G. Love, Jeffrey Clemens on drums and Jim Prescott on bass.
“Love Saves The Day” marks G. Love’s sixth with Brushfire Records and he’s thrilled with their relationship. He lauds label chief Emmett Malloy as someone driven by creativity first and whose aesthetic tastes he trusts. G. Love views today’s music world as the Wild West, with “all the lines washed away;” however, his genre-blurring music now is more relevant than when he started.
G. Love proudly describes himself as a road dog who “will be touring until I fall off the earth” and plans to keep on pushing with Special Sauce from stage to stage.
All Access recently spoke with G. Love about this new album, his biggest inspirations and more. Listen below to the exclusive interview:
