Allow All Access to introduce you to Dumblonde! This alternative/dance/pop duo is made up of Aubrey O’Day and Shannon Bex.
They were formerly of the multi-platinum, international, chart topping female group Danity Kane. The girls were discovered on the hit MTV show “Making the Band”, and grew to be noted in the Guinness Book of World Records for being the only girl group to have two number one consecutive albums on Billboard.
Dumblonde’s indie pop debut has strong dance and alternative influences reminiscent of acts like The Ting Tings and La Roux. On September 25th, they released their first self-titled album via Double Platinum Inc. Along with a full-length collection of songs, the duo also released music videos for each track.
“We started out this project knowing that visually we wanted to create a different story behind each song,” says O’Day. “Each video is in a different stylistic format that, when combined, create the full picture of the many facets that create ‘dumblonde’.”
