The KIDinaKORNER/Interscope recording artist Jamie N Commons recently released a new single, entitled “Marathon”. He is currently touring the US with the Welsh rock band, Catfish and The Bottlemen.
The jaunty, upbeat “Marathon” is Commons’ first new music since 2014’s “Karma,” which became the official theme song to Electronic Arts’ Battlefield Hardline game. Prior to that, Commons teamed up with fellow KIDinaKORNER artists X Ambassadors for the 2013 single “Jungle,” which became an unofficial anthem of the 2014 World Cup when it was included in the Beats by Dre “The Game Before The Game” commercial. The collaboration between the two artists inspired Commons and X Ambassadors to team up for their “Into The Jungle” tour in 2014.
“Marathon” is featured in Timberland’s “Made for the Modern Trail” global marketing campaign. This global campaign is redefining what it means to be outdoors and celebrating the spontaneous adventures that fill consumers’ lives in today’s city environment – and beyond. The global campaign, which leverages three-plus years of consumer insights, is set to launch in later this month with a fully integrated, 360-degree marketing campaign, highlighted by a partnership with Jamie N Commons
Known for his groove-minded, blues-drenched rock, Commons has also released two EPs, 2011’s The Baron and 2013’s Rumble and Sway — a collection that veered from stompy retro-soul to moody ballads to fiery, fuzzed-out pop with stylish production from Grammy winning producer Alex Da Kid, Eg White, and Eliot James. Commons’ gritty sound and raspy baritone have earned him comparisons to such artists as Nick Cave and Tom Waits.
Commons is currently in the studio working on his full-length debut album for KIDinaKORNER/Interscope Records, which will be released early next year.
