LA-based alternative artist Raw Fabrics aka Jack Bruno has returned with new music! His latest single “Get Me The Hell Out of Here” struts with an outspoken confidence punctuated by sharp percussion and piercing guitar chords climaxing with an anthemic chorus.
“Get Me The Hell Out of Here” introduces the next chapter of Raw Fabrics and addresses Jack Bruno’s descent into drug and alcohol addiction. “This first track was inspired by a time when I was first getting clean, the drugs were out of my system but I was still stuck in the mentality of trying to escape from my problems, I just wanted to run away,” says Jack. “Instead of resorting to my addiction, I accepted the frustration. Through that acceptance I began to heal.”
Following the release of their second EP, Plastic Joy, the punked-up alternative mavericks were riding high. However, the frontman’s dark side completely consumed him. As Jack plunged into drug and alcohol addiction, his band mates left one by one. Holed up in a Los Angeles motel room watching
interviews about musicians battling with addiction, he realized things needed to change and NOW. After completing treatment, Jack headed out on the road with just a live drummer in tow and the resulting shows were unpredictable and unforgettable. That energy carried through to the studio. Handling production, guitar, bass, vocals, and drum programming himself, he feverishly recorded as he puts it, “more songs in a few months than I had written in my entire career.”
“It would’ve been so easy to just quit,” Jack leaves off. “Music is too important to me. The message behind Raw Fabrics is too important for me just to give up. That message is looking at the core of things and trying to express honest emotions; it’s all about connection, that’s what saved my life. This is me. It’s more vulnerable and honest. It feels like for the first time it’s completely real. It feels like a new Raw Fabrics.”
