On Tuesday, March 28th, Panic! At The Disco brought their “Death Of A Bachelor Tour” to the Los Angeles (Inglewood) venue, The Forum.
This concert tour is in support of the group’s fifth studio album “Death of a Bachelor.” The shows began on February 24th and wraps on April 15th. Panic! At The Disco brought openers Saint Motel and Misterwives out on this tour.
First up was the (Elektra) indie pop band Saint Motel. Consisting of A/J Jackson (lead vocals, guitar, piano), Aaron Sharp (lead guitar), Dak Lerdamornpong (bass), and Greg Erwin (drums), these musicians knew exactly how to rev up a crowd.
Despite being a short set, they dazzled the audience with songs off their first collection “My Type” including “Cold Cold Man” and the hit “My Type.” They also played a few tracks off their most recently released album, “saintmotelevision” including
“Destroyer”, “Sweet Talk” and “Move.”
Saint Motel was the perfect start to the night and certainly got the packed venue ready for a fun night of dancing and singing.

Next up was the New York-based pop group Misterwives. This (Photo Finish Records) band is made up of lead singer Mandy
Lee, percussionist Etienne Bowler, bass guitarist William Hehir, guitarist Marc Campbell, multi-instrumentalist Jesse Blum and saxophonist Mike Murphy.
Misterwives definitely kept the dance party going with their brand of catchy and fun light-hearted tunes. After opening with the Gene Wilder classic “Pure Imagination,” they performed songs off their debut album “Our Own House” and their forthcoming collection “Connect The Dots.”
Between each number, Misterwives lead singer Mandy engaged the audience and shared a little bit about each song. She was incredibly positive and seemed to become more and more uplifting as the set went on. Song like “Vagabond”, “Same Drugs”, “Oh Love” and “Machine” were particularly enjoyed by the crowd.
At exactly 9pm, the pop-rock (DCD2/Fueled By Ramen) headliner, Panic! At The Disco entered the stage. This Las Vegas-based group is made up of vocalist Brendon Urie, tour bassist Dallon Weekes, guitarist Kenneth Harris and drummer Dan Pawlovich. The touring band also includes Jesse Molloy on saxophone and Erm Navarro and Chris Bautista on trumpets.
Songs off their “Death of a Bachelor” collection made up the bulk of the songs the band performed at The Forum. They played rousing versions of “Victorious”, “Emperors New Clothes”, “Hallelujah” and of course “Death of a Bachelor.” They also treated the crowd with songs off their previous collection, “Too Weird To Live, Too Rare To Die” including “This Is Gospel”, “Miss Jackson” and “Vegas Lights.”
When describing Panic’s set, it’s impossible not to mention their entertaining stage set-up. During several songs, bright sparks fell from the ceiling and fire shot out from the behind the drums. There was never a full moment on that stage and the audience was continually left wondering what was going to happen next.
The crowd seemed particularly enthralled with front-man Brandon Urie’s incredible voice. He is a true performer and knows just how to control his voice and when to go for those really high notes. He really impressed everyone with his four-octave tenor vocal range.
It was an amazing night of live music. The crowd was smiling and on their feet singing along from beginning to end. What more could anyone ask from a Tuesday concert?!
