On August 29th, I attended the Hollywood club, The Viper Room, to check out the indie-pop rock duo, SIRSY.
Right away, I could tell that these two were incredibly talented. Their music was hook-drenched, with resonating melodies and clever, honest lyrics. The pair are guitarist Rich Libutti and singer/drummer Melanie Krahmer. Not only does her sultry and powerful voice fill the room but her full drum kit commands attention as well. Together, the two create a dynamic, full sound which makes listeners swear there are more than two musicians on stage.
With a relentless tour schedule, SIRSY plays over 200 shows a year along the east coast and mid-west. They’ve shared stages with Grace Potter and the Nocturnals, Maroon5, Train, RaRaRiot, Boys Like Girls, Third Eye Blind, Life House, Blues Traveler, Cheap Trick, and many more.
They are indeed a little band, with a BIG sound!
