Incase you missed It This Week: The Alex Band Abduction
It’s been a rough few days for a few folks in the world of entertainment. We were saddened to learn about the death of Lee Thompson Young, an actor that we’ve watched through the year and through very highly of. Rapper DMX was arrested again, David Cassidy was booked for a DUI, and producer Scott Storch was robbed at gunpoint. One of the most bizarre stories however, was the abduction of Alex band, lead singer of The Calling.
According to TMZ’s report, Band was abducted last Sunday morning while walking a street near his hotel in Michigan at 4 am. A van pulled up alongside him during his walk and 3 men abducted him, and proceeded to beat him. He was then left at some near by train tracks where he was found by a search party later that morning. We have no word on if Band knew his attackers. Band and his band The Calling were best known for their 2001 hit “Wherever You Will Go.” Check out their video below.
In a related story, R&B singer Raz B of B2K was also attacked when he was performing at a night club in China. The incident resulted in him being in a coma. Click here for the rest of the story.
