Grammy and Tony Award Winning Singer LESLIE ODOM JR. Celebrates His 3rd Album Release, ‘Mr,’ at LA’s Paramount!

To celebrate the release of Grammy and Tony Award-winning vocalist, songwriter, author and actor Leslie Odom Jr.’s third collection, “Mr” (S-Curve Records / BMG), the singer threw an album launch party at the new Los Angeles venue, Paramount on Wednesday, November 13th.
This album is filled with all original material. In fact, this is the first time he’s singing his own words. “A lot of these songs started as journal entries,” he said. “It’s deeply personal and I’ve been working on it for quite a long time. I’m really excited for people to hear it. Whenever I realize that it’s going to be out in the world, I get butterflies like it’s opening night. I feel so great.”

For a full hour, Leslie Odom Jr. performed songs found on “Mr” to a packed venue full of adoring fans. He mentioned early in the set how appreciative he was of everyone being there and that included plenty of close friends of family. In between many of the songs, Leslie shared a little about the making of them and what it has been like performing them live finally. He ended the night singing, ‘The Room Where It Happens,” a beloved song from Hamilton.
Leading up to this much awaited album, Leslie has been on a whirlwind media tour including appearances on Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live and CBS This Morning. In addition to his appearances he garnered praise in print media from outlets such as Oprah,Vibe, and Essence. Preceding the album Leslie released three singles,“Standards” Via Playbill “Go Crazy” via Atwood as well as “u r my everything.” His first single off of the album “Under Pressure” premiered via Vibe.
This singer will be headed out on a spring 2020 tour “Stronger Magic Tour.” The tour kicks off on March 8th in Las Vegas, NV, hitting cities such as San Francisco, Portland, Chicago, Detroit & Boston. Tickets are on sale now http://www.leslieodomjr.com.
