Halsey is an indie-pop dynamo who is turning heads from her home state of New Jersey to Texas to California and beyond. She was the darling of this year’s South by Southwest Festival, creating more buzz than any other artist in Austin. Now she’s about to drop her album, Badlands, which is not the average pop record. Halsey explains at this year’s Firefly Music Festival her plans to teach listeners to appreciate every sound they hear.
