Emeli Sande’s Incredible Voice Must Be Heard!

Just a few days prior, Sandé had performed at another Los Angeles venue, the historic El Rey Theatre, where she set that stage on fire with an electrifying performance. Her concert at the Key Club was equally special.

 From the moment she stepped on stage, belting out her first song, “Heaven,” to the final number “Next to Me,” the audience remained captivated. Her five-member backing band delivered a full sound and driving energy without overshadowing Sandé’s graceful and rich vocal performance.  

The audience clearly enjoyed this performance, dancing and singing along to every song. We all rode the emotional wave of Sandé’s setlist which included the touching “Breaking the Law” (written for her sister), a stripped-down version of “Suitcase,” along with “My Kind of Love,” “Daddy,” and the uplifting “Wonder.” Evident through it all was her rich voice and undeniable ability for sophisticated melody.

Emeli Sandé puts on the type of show where you come away knowing you’ve just seen something really special and trust me, I see A LOT of shows.
