Not only did the CMA visit Los Angeles on Wednesday (Oct.10), they brought multi-platinum superstars Florida Georgia Line with Corey Crowder, Ernest K., HARDY, Raelynn and Canaan Smith to a sold-out CMA Songwriters Series performance at The Novo.
The musicians took the stage to perform their hits and explain the stories behind the lyrics of the songs. The duo Florida Georgia Line started
the night with their 2013 CMA Awards Single of the Year “Cruise,” and had fellow songwriters join them on stage. They praised one another for their work and of course it followed by joking with each other in between songs. To conclude the night, all the artists performed Florida Georgia Line’s hit record “Meant to Be,” with everyone in the audience singing the lyrics and up on their feet. Brian Kelley shared words of wisdom to the students from Harmony Project in the crowd as the performance ended.
Harmony Project is a program that offers tuition-free music education and social support to 3,500 students across Los Angeles, Southern California and more. More than 90 percent of the students that participate in the program graduate high school and enter college.
