Andrew Bagg, better known by his stage name DJ Cobra, is an open format DJ.
In the corporate and private event world, DJ Cobra continues to play at events in the US such as Paris Hilton’s 30th Birthday party in Hollywood, The Wesinstein’s Golden Globe Party,Ferrari’s 458 Launch party with John Mayer, MTV BlackBerry VMA Party with NeYo, Miley Cyrus’s 18th birthday party, AT&T and Fox American Idol official events, Star Magazine’s Young Hollywood Event, Madonna’s Material Girl launch party and so many others.
Fortunately, a few friends and I got to check out DJ Cobra do his thing last Saturday night at the Hollywood nightclub, The Supper Club.
So at about 11: 40pm, (I was told we should show up at about this time) we made our way through the crazy line at the entrance of the club and fortunately found our names on the guest list. (Whew! We avoided the insane crowded line!)
Once we finally got situated behind the DJ booth, it was easy to see that DJ Cobra was in the zone. He wasn’t talking to anyone but instead focused on his task. I don’t blame him, there were roughly 200 people on the dance floor, ready to be musically entertained.
It was quickly easy to understand why he’s hired to spin at such exclusive events. The man knows exactly what music will get everyone moving. DJ Cobra dazzled the crowd with everything from electro-club anthems to hip-hop bangers. Hit after hit, he brought more energy and electricity to the crowd. My friends and I certainly couldn’t stop dancing!
The club seemed to erupt throughout the night as he played mash-ups with great technique and brought the house down. Party patrons young and old enjoyed his signature style, which included unique cuts and blends, as they danced non-stop for the better part of the night. Moving seamlessly through his collection of music, Cobra put on a full exhibition of his talents and treated the audience to an amazing time.
What he’s able to do on the fly comes from being a veteran and having a deep library, which he started collecting in junior high school. I got a chance to link up with DJ Cobra a few weeks ago for an exclusive interview so check that out for more information on this musical mixer master.
