By Craig And Matt Clizbe
We were first introduced to Nick Carter of the Backstreet Boys in May of 2011 through a mutual friend. That friend asked us about doing an interview with Nick about his second solo album, “I’m Taking Off ” after we saw one of the album’s music videos online. We saw it as a fun thing to do since we grew up with the Backstreet Boys, and have played their songs many times on the radio and at parties as DJs through the years. We were soon introduced to Nick’s manager, and Craig set up a call with her to discuss the details of what would be talked about in the interview. In that conversation Craig was told how candid Nick would be when talking about overcoming all the struggles in his life. She went on to emphasize that it was important to note that Nick was a reborn person, who lives a very different life from the one he lived only a few years earlier, and the interview should reflect that..
Those details were noted as we reviewed different things for the interview. However, just because the manager said Nick would be candid and down to earth, didn’t actually guarantee that he would be. One thing we have learned from doing this work is, you never really know how anyone is going to be until you talk to them yourself. With that said, it couldn’t be truer. Nick sat and talked with us for hours, in a conversation that covered not only how he overcame his struggles with drug and health issues, but also how different events in his life were affected by being in the Backstreet Boys. He spent time highlighting key things in the history of the group as well. That interview became, “The Nick Carter Story: How The Youngest Backstreet Boy Became A Man,” which was released on Clizbeats.com in August of 2011. It was featured on both backstreetboys.com and nickcarter.net, and has been complimented by fans as one of the best interviews Nick has ever done about his story. Nick has been a great friend to us, and has been very supportive of the growth of Clizbeats.com since then. So when it came time to talk about the new Backstreet Boys album and their star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame recently, Nick was right there calling Clizbeats with all the details. After we were done talking about all that stuff, Nick also went into more detail about his new self help book, and his fiancé Lauren’s “Kitt Fit” show on YouTube. Both these topics center on Nick continuing to promote a healthy lifestyle and positive energy to his fans! We are proud to share them with the All Access Music Group readers as a cool Clizbeats All Access exclusive!
