British Trio BBMAK Bring Their 2019 Back Here Tour to Downtown LA’s Belasco Theater!

On Tuesday, November 5th, the British trio BBMAK brought the second half of their 2019 Back Here Tour to downtown LA’s Belasco Theater. After reuniting in 2018 following a 15-year hiatus, the guitar-driven boy band which is made up of Mark Barry, Christian Burns and Stephen McNally are officially back!

In between numerous television, radio and podcast appearances, the guys have been touring steadily this year and especially since their 3rd full-length album, “Powerstation” was released just last month on October 11th via Triple Jet Music/Topanga Creek.

They brought their beloved older favorites as well as songs found on the new album to the Belasco Theater earlier this week. When BBMAK was first getting started in the late 90’s, they were one of the few bands from that genre to play their own instruments. So this was refreshing to see continue this night. In fact, this show was a lovely stripped down set with Christian and Stephen playing guitars. The focus was on their harmonizing.
Right away, from the very beginning of the show, it’s clear that they have taken care of their voices during their BBMAK break. All three of their voices were rich, warm and blended together so perfectly. Some of the songs they performed were “Out Of My Heart,” “Next Time,” “Bullet Train,” “No One Like You,” “I Can Tell,” “Powerstation,” “Uncivil War” and more. They chatted a little with the audience between the songs and were very appreciative of all the support over the years. They also entertained the crowd with two covers, Extreme’s hit song, “More Than Words” and Daft Punk’s “Get Lucky.” Of course they ended their set with their breakout 1999 hit “Back Here.”
