The week began with the start of a new month, and readers of Clizbeats know that that means we’ve named a new artist of the month. This time for the month of September, we’ve shined our month long spotlight on the Bonnie McKee. Many of you probably recognize Bonnie as the breakout talent behind the new ear catcher “American Girl.” That infectious tune would be more than enough to be impressed, but it is only the latest of many accomplishments in an already impressive career among some of the music world’s biggest players.

Prior to her recently found stardom, liner note loving music nerds like us know her for writing songs for/with A-listers like Britney Spears, Katy Perry, Carley Rae Jepsen, Kesha, Kelly Clarkson, and many others.
