Vans’ Warped Tour Coverage From July 29th in Orlando, FL
Lead singer, Caleb Shomo, is no stranger to rock and the decadence that often comes with being a lead singer for a rock band whose music is climbing the charts. As the helmsman for Attack Attack! Shomo found himself multi-tasking, overwhelmed, and on track to become a rock cliche.
It was only after he stepped down from the band and formed Beartooth that Shomo was able to breathe again. The band’s EP “Sick” set the band apart from the pack with its brutally honest and heart-felt lyrics. With the release of their album Disgusting, it was clear that Shomo was using his new platform as a means of purging himself of the past. Lyrics on the album are honest to the hilt; listeners can hear the pain as Shomo sings–it was clearly a cathartic experience.
After rocking fans at Warped Tour and making an appearance at the first annual Alternative Press Awards, Beartooth canvased the east coast, supported by Vanna, Sirens & Sailors, Alive Like Me, and Sylar. The band has already locked in plans to tour the UK with We Are the In Crowd, Don Broco, and Bury Tomorrow in February; solidified plans to play Rock on the Range and Carolina Rebellion in May. Prior to these dates, Beartooth will tour Canada and the western US in support of Silverstein’s 10th anniversary tour for their album Discovering the Waterfront. Catch them on tour in 2015 to feel what Shomo is feeling.
