Formed in England in 1979, the pop-rock group, Marillion are known as the most successful band to emerge from the United Kingdom’s 1980s neo-progressive rock scene. To date, they have sold more than 15 million albums. Along with being an influential band, Marillion are also widely considered to have been one of the first mainstream acts in 1996 to have fully recognized and tapped the potential for commercial musicians to interact with their fans via the internet. The current band-members include Steve Rothery, Mark Kelly, Pete Trewavas, Ian Mosley and Steve Hogarth.
All Access recently spoke with Steve about the band’s success and their forthcoming new album. Enjoy!
