Hot new pop artist 19 yr old singer songwriter Brielle has just released her debut single, Avalanche! The song was produced by Grammy Producer FEMDOUBLE G$ol (Tupac, T-Pain, E-40, TQ) and co-produced by Pete Ivory. It will be the first track off of her upcoming debut LP, Ready For War.
To learn more about this promising new pop star, read her interview:
Do you remember the very first moment that you decided you wanted to be a performer?
I have wanted to perform for as long as I can remember. I started dancing at the age of two, so I’ve been performing for basically my whole life.
For your song, “Avalanche”, you worked with Grammy Producer, Femdouble G$ol, who has worked with Tupac, T-Pain, E-40 and more. How did that all happen? What was it like working with him?
Femdouble works with my manager, Gary “Silky” Davis, so he is the one who introduced us. It was great working with Femi, he really knows how to produce a great sound.
Brielle’s “Avalanche” Video:
Do you think “Avalanche” will fit in with what’s being played on T40 radio stations today?
I do. I think it incorporates a lot of elements that top 40 songs have and it has a really great beat that is incredibly fun to dance to.
When do you think you’ll be releasing you debut album, Ready For War? What are some of the emotions you are feeling about it all?
We don’t have a specific date for the release of Ready For War yet, but I’m anticipating that it’ll come out in a few months. I have an emotional connection to each of the songs on the album and I’m so in love with it. I cannot wait until it is finally released.
I just watched your music video for an older song of yours, “Catch A Star For You”. How do you think you’ve grown since that video was made? What do you love about that song and the video? I love your hair and all the different styles you take on.
Thank you! I love how no matter how many times I hear that song, it still makes me happy. I also think the video really shows my aesthetic and personality through the different styles I take on in it because I love so many different styles: I can’t just stick to one. Since “Catch” was made, I think I have grown in the style of my music. I still love the style of that song, but I have experimented with some more urban sounds.
Tell me about your fashion influences? Anyone that you look to for style inspiration?
Alexander McQueen is a huge influence to me, as well as Daphne Guiness. My style and inspirations are different than theirs, but I still admire their minds and aesthetics.
Who are some of your musical influences? Who are some of the new artists who inspire you?
I have a very broad range of musical influences. Justin Timberlake is my idol, I’m also in love with him, and I love The Neighborhood, Lana Del Rey, John Mayer, Maroon 5, Kanye West, and lately I’m really into XXYYXX. I draw inspiration from all artists, even ones that I don’t regularly listen to, but Justin Timberlake definitely inspires me the most.
If you had the opportunity to work with any artist/band living or dead, who would it be and why?
No hesitation, Justin Timberlake because he is my favorite and he is ridiculously amazing.
Tell me about the crown that you are seen wearing in a lot of your press/promo materials these days?
The crown is like my logo and my signature thing.
When you aren’t performing and/or writing new material, what do you guys like to do in your spare time?
I love to dance and I also am going to FIT for fashion design. Fashion design is my second passion that I would also love to incorporate into my career.
