Thanks for your time today!
Of course, my Darling Darkling.
Where does this interview find you now?
Currently, I am in Transylvania finishing up a juicy snack… mmm….
What’s on tap for the rest of your day?
Hopefully, I can find another with the same blood type.
All Access Music is currently compiling a list of our artists favorite songs this summer so what is YOUR song of the summer?
“Cry Little Sister” performed by Marilyn Manson makes me hot and bothered.
Overall, how do you think 2018 has been treating you and your music career?
Thus far it has been an amazing adventure.
What has been one goal that you have had this year and how close are you to reaching it?
I’ve accomplished many of my goals. This year alone, I’ve completed a fantastic album. I shot an awesome music video, and I had alluring sexy Lana Blac T- shirts made for all of my delicious fans.
Growing up, was music always a big part of your life?
Why yes, of course darling… The harpsichord has always lulled me to sleep inside my coffin, where I always dream of those days I spent out in the sunlight when I was a little girl skipping through the woods with brown bears, wolves, and lynxes in Eastern Europe. Mmm… every genre moves me. However, Rock and Metal are my true loves.
Can you recall your first ever musical experience?
I’ve been surrounded by music the last 300 plus years, I’ve heard so much.
How exactly did you first get into metal?
Both Black Sabbath and Metallica put me in a trance with their rapid beats and high vibrations. Metal is a medication that empowers me and lifts me to a state of higher being.
What has been the biggest surprise so far about making music your career? Surprise?
Ha! I’m just thrilled to watch the blood pulse through my fan’s jugular veins when I’m graced with their presence.
Has there been an unexpected or welcome challenge to it all?
It wouldn’t be fun if there was no challenge- right?
How do you think you and your music have been influenced by your hometown and where you live today?
I grew up rather lonely deep in the Carpathian Mountains listening to the howl of the wolves and the screams of my victims. I still enjoy the terror filled high pitched screams today.
What is the music scene like there these days?
Why it’s lovely my darling, simply lovely.
How would you say that you have grown as an artist since you first started making music?
I’ve become more demanding in order to achieve my desired outcomes.
What has remained the same?
What has remained the same my darling, is my incredible thirst for blood and the desire to hear my voice in every home, every vehicle, every venue where mortals gather, and every seedy dark alleyway.
Let’s talk about your recently released music video for your song “Suck You In.” What was the inspiration for the song and the video?
Well Darling, I have a very dominating personality. I love playing with people’s minds and their body parts.
How creatively involved were you with the overall process?
100%
When do you hope to release more new music and your debut album of new songs?
My single, “Pick Your Poison” was released last month. The rest of the album is due out on Friday, October 19th of 2018.
What was it like working on this collection?
It was exhilarating as I wrote all the lyrics myself.
Did anything surprise you about making it?
Isn’t there always a lovely surprise waiting for you around every dark corner? Mmm… each of my songs are very dark and mysterious my love.
What was it like the first time you heard it all the way through?
The first time I listened to my album in its entirety, I felt as if I were floating- my music had all come to life.
Besides “Suck You In,” what are some other stand-out tracks on this forthcoming debut album that you are excited to share with the world?
Each one of my songs stands out in its own way. However, I believe that, “In The Darkness” would be an outstanding choice for a new vampire movie.
What was the inspiration for these tracks?
Mmm… Perhaps, you’d like to visit the dungeon in my castle???
What do you think makes for an ideal show for you?
An ideal show for me, is seeing my mere mortal fan’s reactions and the excitement that they feel while listening to me. Why It’s simply satisfying my darling darkling.
What has been a favorite performance of yours so far?
Ha! That’s private my dear.
We are currently living through a very trying and politically charged time right now so I am curious to know how your own music is reflecting this time period?
My music is timeless, it will last forever.
Would you say that other musicians are making music that has been influenced by this climate?
I haven’t paid any attention my darling darkling, I’ve been too busy hunting for my dinner.
Do you find that at your shows you have to say something about the political climate?
I’m only there at my shows to present my musical masterpieces and discover how each blood type tastes in every climate.
What has it been like keeping up with your social media accounts and all of the different platforms?
I love interacting with all my darling darklings… it’s always a pleasure to meet and interact with mere mortals. They entertain me so.
Is it hard to stay up to date on it all?
Well, vampires rarely sleep, so I don’t have a problem.
What would you say is your favorite way to connect with your fans now?
My favorite way to connect with my fans is through my music and of course my fangs.
Who are some of your favorite artists or rather, what musicians have continued to inspire you and your music?
I am inspired by Maria Brink from In This Moment, Rob Zombie, Marilyn Manson, and of course my fellow brethren, Mr Peter Steele from Type-O Negative.
Who would you absolutely still love to work with in the future?
I would love to work with Maria Brink. Ms Brink is one of the most talented hard working musicians in Metal. Ms Brink has the most amazing voice and captivating stage performances I’ve ever witnessed at a live event.
If you were going to be stranded on a deserted island forever, what musical item would you take with you and why?
Darling, vampires do not go out in the sun, therefore we do not visit the beach. However, I’ve been listening to records pressed in vinyl since the early 1900’s…
If your music was going to be featured on any TV show that is currently on right now, which would you love it to be on?
It would be a true pleasure to have my musical masterpieces featured on the television show, “American Horror Story” I believe it’s the perfect forum for my genre of Vampire Metal.
Or if you prefer, what is a movie that you love that you wish your music was featured in?
Darling, “Fright Night” has always been my inspiration to search out young virgins to keep my mind and body looking and sounding fresh. Mmm… as I sit here licking my lips… It has been a very interesting and flavorful 300 plus years.
At the end of the day, what do you hope your fans take away from your music?
Pleasure my dear, pleasure…
