The community of THOUSAND OAKS gathered on MONDAY (FEB. 11) for ACM’s LIFTING LIVES benefit concert at the CIVIC ARTS PLAZA to honor the victims and survivors of the 2018 mass shooting at BORDERLINE BAR and GRILL.
Hosted by actor/singer CHARLES ESTEN, the benefit concert featured performances by TRACE ADKINS, JIMMIE ALLEN, DEANA CARTER, CASSADEE POPE, TYLER RICH, RUNAWAY JUNE, MORGAN EVANS, and GONE WEST starring COLBIE CAILLAT. All proceeds from the concert benefitted VENTURA COUNTY Community Foundation’s CONEJO VALLEY Victim’s Fund, which supports the restoration efforts related to the shooting at BORDERLINE BAR and GRILL.
Following an intimate night of country music, there were a number of celebrity appearances including actress/singer HAILEE STEINFELD and special guest ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER, former governor of
CALIFORNIA who introduced TRACE ADKIN’s performance.
Per twitter SCHWARZENEGGER said, “ I was inspired by how these fantastic artists and the community came together to support the victims and their families. This is America. #BorderlineStrong.”
